Project manager and engineer for preliminary design, final design and construction of pumping system and conveyance improvements to an existing, aged and under capacity pump station on a very small site that was adjacent to a stream. The improvements provided near term capacity as well as capacity for future growth in the pump station’s service area.

The improvements consisted of a triplex, 4,000 gpm submersible pump station, engine-generator, HVAC, electrical, including VFDs and related instruments and controls housed in the existing building, valve vault and 900 feet of 14-inch force main. The construction cost was $1.4 Million.

The specifications included contractor qualifications, pre-purchase of a trailer mounted sewage pump for temporary bypass/emergency pumping and a major equipment schedule.

Provided full construction management services. Also prepared an operation and maintenance manual. Assisted with post construction assessments and negotiations with the contractor, suppliers and manufacturers regarding the repair/replacement of a defective VFD and defective pumps.
